He was relentless.

A man was caught on camera raining punches on another man in Jurong West on the night of Jan 23.

A Stomper shared a video of the violent assault near Block 965 Jurong West Street 93 at around 10pm.

The video shows a man in a blue shirt going after a man in a white shirt who was trying to get away. A third man in a dark shirt followed behind them.

The blue-shirt man kept hitting the white-shirt man even after the latter fell down and tried to get up.

The Stomper, who took the video from a car, said he recognised the man in blue as a worker from a nearby fruit stall.

"I was parked there waiting for my friend, lucky to see this show," said the Stomper.

"I'm not exactly sure how the fight ensued, but it does seem like a case of self-aggressiveness."

He added: "I sincerely hope that the Singapore Police Force will look into the matter with scrutiny, so as to ensure the well-being and overall safety of the neighbourhood."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at 10.25pm.

A 32-year-old man is assisting with investigations for voluntarily causing hurt.

Police investigations are ongoing.
