Man who allegedly threw bicycle down from Choa Chu Kang block to be charged for rash act

A 25-year-old man who allegedly threw a bicycle down a residential block in Choa Chu Kang will be charged in court on Monday (Nov 1) with rash act.

The police had been alerted to the case along Choa Chu Kang Crescent on January 23, at around 7.30pm.

Through follow-up investigations, officers from Jurong Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had allegedly thrown a bicycle down from the corridor of his residential unit," police said.

The man will be charged in court on Monday with rash act, which carries a jail term of up to six months and/or a fine of up to $2,500.

The police said they have zero tolerance against acts that endanger the lives or safety of others and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law.
