Man goes 'shopping' and grabs $80 Vans shoes from outside Teck Whye HDB unit, police investigating

A man was caught on camera stealing a pair of shoes from outside a unit at Block 134 Teck Whye Lane on July 8.

Stomper Jamal alerted Stomp to the incident and shared footage of the man taking his shoes at about 3.25pm.

"He brought a bag with him for his 'shopping'," said Jamal who told Stomp that the Vans shoes the man took cost about $80.

He has since lodged a police report.

"Need to stop him," he said.

"I just want to stress the importance of arresting this culprit.

"This is not the first time a theft has happened at this HDB block.

"Police surveillance cameras are installed at the first floor staircase and lift lobby.

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
