Man arrested for stealing delivered parcels and newspapers left outside homes in Tiong Bahru

A 52-year-old man has been arrested for a series of cases involving the theft of parcels and newspapers.

Since January 2023, the police have received several reports that delivered parcels and newspapers placed outside victims' houses in the vicinity of Tiong Bahru were being stolen.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTVs, officers from Central Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him on Tuesday (Mar 21).

Police investigations are ongoing.

The man will be charged in court on Thursday with theft in dwelling, which carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and a fine.
