Man and woman arrested for drug-related offences after accident at Toa Payoh

A man and woman, aged 33 and 35 respectively, were arrested for drug-related offences after an accident involving two cars at Block 58 Lorong 4 Toa Payoh on Oct 11.

Stomper Didi alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos and videos of police officers at the scene.

Didi said: "I witnessed a case of a couple quarrelling and the guy bang the girl's car and in return, the girl tried to bang back the guy's car. However, they accidentally bang into an oncoming car and the guy fled the scene."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 11.18pm.

"A 31-year-old female driver was conveyed conscious to the hospital," a police spokesperson said.

"A 33-year-old male driver left the scene prior to police's arrival and was subsequently arrested for suspected drug-related offences.

"He is also assisting with investigations into a case of voluntarily causing hurt and suspected traffic-related offences.

"His 35-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries from an earlier incident of voluntarily causing hurt and was also conveyed conscious to the hospital.

"The 35-year-old woman was subsequently arrested for suspected drug-related offences."

Investigations are ongoing.
