Man, 64, arrested for public nuisance after fight with 73-year-old bus driver in Chinatown

A 64-year-old man was arrested for public nuisance at Eu Tong Sen Street in Chinatown on Thursday (June 29).

Stomp understands that the man was involved in a fight with a 73-year-old bus driver.

Stompers alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that was posted on TikTok and has been circulating online.

In the video that was taken in front of People's Park Centre, a man is seen being handcuffed by police officers in front of a white bus that is parked by the side of the road.

He is later escorted into a police car.

The video includes a photo of the front of the bus, showing a cracked windscreen.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at 5.30pm.

"A 64-year-old man was arrested for public nuisance," a police spokesman said.

"A 73-year-old man was conveyed conscious to the hospital."

Police investigations are ongoing.
