Man, 43, arrested after allegedly molesting woman on bus in Woodlands

A 43-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

In a statement, the police said that they received a report on Oct 5 at 10.45pm that a woman was allegedly molested by an unknown man while on board a bus along Woodlands Avenue 2.

Officers established the identity of the man and arrested him on Oct 13.

The offence of outrage of modesty carries a jail term of up to three years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.

"The police have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the safety of the community," the statement said.

"Offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law."
