A 37-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman along Cantonment Road.
The police said they were alerted to the case on Monday (Sept 26), at around 9.15pm.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Central Police Division and Police Operations Command Centre established the suspect's identity and arrested him within two hours of the report.
Investigations are ongoing.
The man will be charged in court on Wednesday.
If found guilty, he faces up to three years in jail and/or a fine and/or caning.
In a statement, the police said have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the safety of the community.
"Offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law," they added.
