Man, 40, arrested for allegedly molesting woman at Woodlands Avenue 6

A 40-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman along Woodlands Avenue 6 on Monday (Apr 18).

The police said they received a report about the incident at around 4.10pm.

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him.

The man will be charged in court on Friday with outrage of modesty, which carries a jail term of up to three years and/or caning and/or a fine.

The police said they have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the personal safety of the community, adding: "Offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law."
