A man who allegedly stole various items -- including 30 eggs worth RM128.39 (around S$42.80) -- from a supermarket in Malaysia on Sep 26 might get up to 10 years in jail.

Stomper Mohd alerted Stomp to The Star's report about the incident, which stated that civil servant Eddy Ezry Nordin pleaded not guilty to theft in dwelling.

According to The Star, he did so at the Kuala Terengganu Magistrate court before judge Noradila A. Latif.

The accused was reportedly apprehended by a security guard after being seen behaving suspiciously in the supermarket.

Eddy was released on RM4,000 (around S$1,333) bail with one surety and his case is set for mention on Oct 13.
