Driver, 73, taken to hospital after her car dives through 2 lanes and road divider in Serangoon

A 73-year-old driver was taken to hospital after she got into an accident along Serangoon Central on Jan 5.

The police told Stomp that they were alerted to an accident involving three cars at around 6.07pm.

A video posted on Facebook, which Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to, shows a car emerging from a carpark at high speed, whizzing across two lanes and crashing through a road divider.

Circulated photos also show the car with its front bumper badly damaged.

According to Shin Min Daily News, a durian stall vendor described the scene as 'chaotic'.

Several passers-by knocked on the car to check on its driver.

The elderly woman, who had a walking cane, was seen sitting in her car for some time before being helped out of the vehicle by the passers-by and entering an ambulance.

She was conscious when taken to hospital, said police, adding that investigations are ongoing.
