We all know how crowded MRT trains can get, but things got extra squeezy for some commuters after a man boarded a train with a bulky personal mobility aid (PMA) on Dec 3.

Stomper Sarah alerted Stomp to a video posted by Raven Qiu in the Complaint Singapore Facebook group.

According to him, passengers were shocked. He said: "...Spotted this from the back view, thought what seems like driving a car."

seems our train like getting smaller; mostly full house, and on the 03/12/23(Sunday) taking the train,w spotted this...

He lamented that standing space in the cabin was already limited and expressed concern for young children and senior citizens whom the bulky device may impact.

He believes the PMA is modified and hopes the relevant authorities will look into the matter.

According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), PMA users taking public transport should ensure their devices do not exceed 120cm in length and 70cm in width. They should also not exceed 150cm in height and the total weight of the PMA together with the user should not exceed 300kg.
