Chickens on the loose after trailer overturns on KJE: Driver arrested for careless driving

A 21-year-old driver was arrested for careless driving after the trailer he was driving overturned along the Kranji Expressway (KJE) in the early hours of Thursday morning (June 25).
A Stomper alerted Stomp to photos of the incident that are circulating on social media.
In the photos, crates carrying chickens are seen strewn on the road with some chickens running loose.
According to the Land Transport Authority, the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) exit towards Woodlands was closed following the accident.

In response to a Stomp query, the police aid they were alerted to the accident at 4.15am.
"The 21-year-old male driver was arrested for careless driving," a police spokesman said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
