A 19-year-old woman was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing along Cavenagh Road on Thursday morning (Sept 21).

Stomper Vegas alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a photo of the car and a woman holding an umbrella.

"I just saw a car hit a lady at the junction of Cavenagh Road and Kramat Road," he said.

"The driver failed to stop when the pedestrian had the right of way.

"Luckily, the speed was slow.

"Though the lady managed to stand up, I could see she was a little hurt.

"The driver didn't even exit from the car and drove off.

"Bad."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 9.40am.

"A 19-year-old female pedestrian subsequently sought medical attention at a hospital," a police spokesperson said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
