Car engulfed in flames along Bartley Road East

A car caught fire along Bartley Road East on Monday afternoon (Dec 21).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it was alerted to the blaze at around 1.55pm and extinguished it using a hose reel.

Videos submitted by Stomper Vishnu and Stomper Freddie show the vehicle engulfed in bright orange flames and thick black smoke billowing.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
