The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) are looking into a case of a woman caning a dog while it yelps in pain at a private property in the Hillview area.
Stompers Jerry and Mimi alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that was posted on Facebook by Dor Sim.
In the two-second clip, a woman can be seen repeatedly hitting a dog as it makes distressed sounds.
According to Dor's post, the dog has been mistreated since 2016.
She wrote:
"Hope [the] dog doesn't turn aggressive with the constant beating.
"Its torturing watching all these (sic)."
She also uploaded a longer clip on her Facebook page.
The AVA wrote on its Facebook page in reply to Dor's post that they are aware of the incident and are looking into it.
