8 taken to hospital after bus, lorry, taxi and car in chain collision along CTE

Eight people were taken to hospital after a chain collision involving four vehicles along the Central Expressway (CTE) on Tuesday morning (Jan 31).

The police were alerted to an accident involving a bus, a lorry, a taxi and a car along the CTE towards Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) at around 9.20am.

They told Stomp: "Eight persons, aged 22 to 60, were conveyed conscious to the hospital."

A video shared by Stomper Watson shows paramedics, police officers and ambulances at the scene.

According to Watson, those injured in the accident were "mostly" workers on the lorry.

Police investigations are ongoing.
