42-year-old woman apprehended for walking around naked in Bedok North

A woman was apprehended after she was spotted wandering around completely naked along Block 11 Bedok North Street 1 on Tuesday (Dec 29).

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at 7.52am.

"A 42-year-old woman was apprehended under Section 7 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act," added the police.

Several Stompers caught wind of the incident after a video of the woman started circulating online.

In the video, the naked woman can be seen crossing the road while holding an orange bag in her right hand.

The passers-by around her appear undeterred.

The woman behind the camera, who seems to be a passenger in a car, mutters a phrase in Chinese, which can be translated to "Are you serious?" in English.

The next clip shows the lady wandering around at the foot of a block while swinging her arms and legs in the air.

"This is sad. She just needs medical help and sympathy," said one of the Stompers who shared the video.
