57-year-old man arrested for walking around completely naked at Bedok North

A man was arrested for walking around naked along Block 89 Bedok North Street 4 on Wednesday (Nov 2).

The police said they received a call for assistance at 5.03pm.

"A 57-year-old man was arrested for appearing nude in a public space," added the police.

Stomper Jun and Syufian sent videos of the incident, which appear to be shot from a bus.

In the video, the naked man can be seen walking backwards from the traffic lights towards the foot of the block.

"I wasn't at the scene, but my friend took the video and shared it with me," Jun said.

"He was on the bus when he saw the naked man walking backwards without any expression on his face.

"My friend told me that he called the police, but wasn't sure what happened next because the bus drove away.

"Honestly, I'm empathetic towards this man. I hope he's okay and that he gets the treatment he needs."

Syufian shared the same sentiments and said he felt bad for the man.

"I don't know what's going on, but maybe he's just too stressed given the current Covid-19 situation," Syufian shared.

Police investigations are ongoing.
