41-year-old man arrested for breaking into Bedok North flat

A 41-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of House-breaking and Theft by Night, said the police in an official statement. 

The incident happened at around 8.46am on Aug 12, 2017, in a flat at Block 204, Bedok North Street 1. 

About $1,000 in cash and a phone worth $600 were reported missing.  

Officers from the Bedok Police Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect via extensive ground enquiries and the aid of Police cameras (POLCAMs).

They arrested the suspect along Circuit Road on Aug 14, 2017.

The suspect will be charged in court with Housebreaking and Theft by Night on Aug 16. 

If convicted, he faces a jail term between two and 14 years, with a fine. 

The police also advise property owners to stay vigilant, securing any openings in the house, and not to leave the premises unattended.
