Twelve women, aged between 27 to 50, were arrested for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities in residential areas.
The arrests were made after officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted raids at five residential units in Ang Mo Kio, Hougang, Kovan, and Sembawang last month.
During the operations, cash amounting to $1,780 and mobile phones were seized as case exhibits.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were believed to be advertising sexual services via online websites and operating within the residential areas.
In a news release, the police said they will spare no effort in clamping down on online vice activities, especially those operating in the heartlands.
House owners are also advised to be diligent in ensuring that tenants do not carry out illicit vice activities in their units.
