3 taken to hospital after accident involving 1 car and 2 motorcycles at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3

An accident involving a car and two motorcycles took place along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 towards Hougang Avenue 2 on Monday (Sep 24).

Stomper Win Win, who passed by the area at about 7pm, had taken a video of the accident.

In the video, vehicles from all directions are seen weaving pass two people who are lying on the ground.

A traffic police officer is also seen motioning for a bus to pass.

He said: "I didn't see what happened, what you see in the video is what I saw.

"I saw two riders lying on the floor, and some passers-by were helping them.

"I also saw an ambulance and the traffic police as well."

In response to Stomp's queries, the police said that they were alerted at 7.05pm.

The police said: "Both motorcyclists and a pillion rider, aged between 29 and 40, were conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

Stomp understands that the car driver was going straight when the two motorcycles suddenly dashed from the opposite direction.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force told Stomp that it was alerted to an accident at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and 5 at about 7.07pm on Monday.

Three people were conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
