23-year-old man involved in Tanjong Pagar brawl arrested for causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapon

A 23-year-old man involved in a brawl that broke out at Tanjong Pagar has been arrested for causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon.

Stomp previously reported that the police were alerted to a case of a fight that took place at about 3.30am on Oct 18 along Tanjong Pagar Road.

In a video of the incident, a man in a white shirt can be seen wielding what appears to be a knife.

Through investigations, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and Central Police Division identified one of the suspects and arrested him on Thursday (Oct 24).

The man will be charged in court on Friday (Oct 25).

If convicted of voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapon with common intention, the man may face life imprisonment or an imprisonment term of up to 15 years, and a fine/caning.

Investigations are ongoing.
