The two security officers caught on video fighting in carpark last year have been "held accountable for their actions", said security company Metropolis Security Systems.

The 43-second video started circulating online recently.

On Monday (April 3), Metropolis Security Systems posted on Facebook: "We are aware of an old video that has been circulating on social media. The video shows an altercation between two of our security officers.

"The event occurred one year ago and we want to assure you that we have since taken swift and decisive action to address it. The behavior depicted in the video is not reflective of Metropolis’ values or the high standards of professionalism we expect from all of our staff. The officers involved have been held accountable for their actions.

"We will not tolerate any form of misconduct from our employees. We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all.

"We want to assure you that we have taken all necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future."

The video shows a woman in a "security" jacket and a man in a security guard uniform pulling each other's hair as she spoke in Tamil to another woman who cannot be seen but can be heard in the video.

The woman in the jacket kept scolding the man after they released each other. She then hit him in the head and walked away, but he went after her and hit her back.

They then started arguing and fighting again as the video ends.
