Two people were injured in an accident involving a MINI Cooper and a Trans Cab taxi at the junction of Jurong West Avenue 4 and Jurong West Street 75 at around 11.30am today (Aug 13).

Stomper Sriram 's 49-year-old father and 6-year-old brother were passengers in the taxi and suffered minor injuries.

"My younger brother had a minor head injury while my father's leg was injured," said the Stomper.

From the photos Sriram shared, the front left part of the taxi looked badly damaged as part of the metal body had ripped off.

The passenger's side door of the MINI Cooper looked to be severely dented.

Sriram added that the accident caused a bad traffic jam in the area as the road the accident happened on led to the Pan Island Expressway (PIE).

In response to Stomp's media query, a police spokesman said that they were alerted to the accident at 11.29am.

"Two taxi passengers aged 49 and 6 were conscious when conveyed to National University Hospital (NUH).

"Police investigations are ongoing."
