10 women arrested at public entertainment outlet for working without valid permits

Ten women, aged between 24 and 37, were nabbed in an enforcement operation against a public entertainment outlet along Claymore Drive on Wednesday (March 13).

During the operation, the public entertainment outlet was found to have contravened public entertainment licensing conditions and the women were arrested for working without valid work permits under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.

Investigations are ongoing.

Actions will be taken against the operator for flouting the rules and regulations under the Public Entertainments Act, said the police, adding that they take a serious view of anyone found breaking the law and will continue to take tough enforcement stance against such activities.
