Mystery of the eagle of Ang Mo Kio

Stomper Lim was surprised when he came across a Stomp article posted on Aug 5, about an eagle spotted at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.

Apparently, he had seen an eagle too, possibly the same one, perched on a tree outside the balcony of his Housing Board Development (HDB) flat at Block 371, Ang Mo Kio Street 31, back in April.

He had snapped some photos of the majestic bird. 

However, he later thought that he had mistaken it for something else.

Only after seeing the Stomp article did he realise that it had indeed been an eagle.

He sent Stomp some of the photos which he had taken.

Said Lim:

“I thought it was some other bird, but it was huge!

“That, and I’ve never seen an eagle fly so low before.

“I wonder if it’s a domesticated eagle, or maybe it’s injured.”
