Korean actor Kim Woo-bin, 27, diagnosed with throat cancer

Korean actor Kim Woo-bin, 27, has been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, said his agency in a statement.

“Kim Woo-bin wasn’t feeling good and recently visited a doctor. We found out that he has a nasopharyngeal cancer,” said the agency, Sidus HQ.

“He started receiving drug treatment and radiation therapy. Please cheer and support him.” 

The agency also stated that the star will focus on getting treatment for a while, reports The Korea Herald.

According to the report, Nasopharyngeal cancer affects the nasopharynx, which is in the upper part of the throat, behind the nose.

The actor was preparing to start filming an upcoming movie that has been tentatively titled “Docheong”. 

The production team of the film said that it delay the filming for now and wait for Kim Woo-bin to return when he is better.
