27-year-old man charged for St James murder, victim suffered stab wounds to head and back

A 27-year-old man was charged today (Mar 14) with murder involving the death of a 35-year-old man at St James Power Station two days ago.

Shawalludin Sa'adon appeared in court wearing a red shirt and dark blue bermudas, reported The Straits Times.

According to police, the victim - Mr Satheesh Kumar Manogaran – was found with stab injuries to his head and back in the vicinity of an entertainment outlet at St James Power Station at about 6am on Sunday morning (Mar 12). He was pronounced dead at around 6.45am.

Stomper Tay, who alerted Stomp to the fatal incident, said that the victim had been involved in an argument with the club’s security staff earlier that night.

Another man, 28, sustained injuries to his head and was sent to Singapore General Hospital for treatment.  

In a statement this morning, the police said that they arrested four men, aged between 20 and 28, in connection with the incident.

Investigations against the other three suspects are ongoing.
