1 person sent to hospital after accident involving 2 cars along Sengkang West Rd

Stomper Andy was on his way to work yesterday morning (Apr 7) when he saw the aftermath of an accident along Sengkang West Road, involving two cars. 

In the photos the Stomper contributed, a white car can be seen with a damaged bonnet and front bumper. Its licence plate is also missing. 

Pieces of the wreckage are scattered around two lanes. A segment of the green metal road divider was also damaged in the accident. 

Said the Stomper:

"I guess the car was driving too fast and it skidded and hit the Volvo Sports Utility Vehicle."

A spokesperson from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp:

“SCDF received a call for road traffic accident at the junction of Sengkang West Road and Yio Chu Kang road at about 7.30am.

"SCDF conveyed one casualty to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.”
