A 33-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On July 25 at about 8.53am, a 23-year-old female victim informed the police that she had been molested by a man on board a train travelling from Stadium MRT Station towards Nicoll Highway MRT station.
The suspect was subsequently arrested at Nicoll Highway MRT station on the same day, said the police in a news release.
Investigations against the man are ongoing.
If found guilty, the man may be jailed for up to two years, or fined, and is also liable to caning.
This is not the first reported case of outrage of modesty that occurred on board a train this month.
In a separate incident on July 19, a 27-year-old was arrested for allegedly molesting a 32-year-old woman while on board a train that was travelling through Yishun Avenue 2.
On July 10, a 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a 32-year-old woman on a train travelling from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station to Raffles Place MRT Station.
And on July 3, a 48-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a 32-year-old woman on a train from Tiong Bahru MRT station towards Outram MRT station.
