Woman driving with probation plate investigated for careless driving causing hurt after PIE accident

A woman, 24, is being investigated for careless driving causing hurt after an accident on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) involving her car and a lorry on Saturday afternoon (Feb 18).

She and her four passengers were taken to hospital, said police.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to a road traffic accident on the PIE towards Changi Airport before Stevens Road exit at about 12.20pm.

SCDF took the casualties to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

When contacted by Stomp, police said that the car driver, together with two male passengers, aged 21 and 28, and two female passengers, aged 22 and 46, were conscious when taken to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
