Woman, 61, taken to hospital after 8-vehicle pileup on ECP

A 61-year-old woman was taken to hospital after an eight-vehicle pileup along the East Coast Parkway (ECP) on Wednesday morning (Sep 22).

In response to a Stomp query, the police said the were alerted to an accident involving seven cars and a taxi along the ECP towards Changi Airport at 8.36am.

A female passenger, aged 61, was conscious when taken to hospital.

Stomper Hin shared a video showing the chain collision on the second lane of the expressway, which the Land Transport Authority (LTA) had advised motorists to avoid.

Police investigations are ongoing.
