Rider taken to hospital after car sideswipes motorbike on BKE, driver assisting with investigations

A 54-year-old man was taken to hospital after his motorcycle was sideswiped by a car on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) towards Woodlands on Feb 7.

A Stomper shared a clip showing a white car filtering onto the expressway and hitting the motorcycle with its right side.

The bike is sent skidding and the rider's shoes fly off as he falls to the ground. He is wearing a Grab long-sleeved shirt.

Other motorists are seen stopping to assist the rider.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 8.45pm.

"A 54-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to the hospital," a police spokesperson said.

"A 62-year-old male driver is assisting with investigations."

Police investigations are ongoing.
