A 29-year-old driver and his 30-year-old passenger were taken to hospital after a GetGo car crashed into Block 260 Jurong East Street 24 in the early hours of Jan 14.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to photos circulating online of the incident.

In one of the photos that was posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page, some men can be seen lying on the ground next to the car.

It appears that the car skidded and flew down a flight of stairs before crashing into an exterior wall of the block.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 3.10am.

The car is believed to have self-skidded, a police spokesperson said.

The 29-year-old male car driver and his 30-year-old male passenger were taken conscious to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.

A resident told the Shin Min Daily News that his family was awakened by a loud noise and his children woke up crying because of it.

He said about five or six people were in the car at the time and the car was towed away at about 7am.

According to the Chinese daily, the scene was still a 'mess' later that morning. Broken car parts and pieces of wood were seen where the car had hit the wall.
