Man headbutts woman in argument during heavy rain at Geylang Bahru

The police were called in after a man and a woman were involved in a quarrel at Geylang Bahru on Feb 28.

A Stomper alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos and video clips of the couple arguing in the middle of the road before moving to a bus stop shelter.

In one of the clips, they appear to be kissing before the man suddenly headbutts the woman, causing her to stumble back onto the road and cover her mouth and nose with her hand.

"They were pushing and fighting under the rain and obstructing traffic also," she said.

"It was like a Bollywood scene or something.

"There was a lady who came to help I suppose and they later boarded a bus.

"It was stationary for a few minutes so I assume they were inside quarrelling."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at Block 73 Geylang Bahru at 8pm.

"No injuries were reported and no further police assistance was required," a police spokesman said.
