Elderly residents set up 'Butterfly Garden' in Geylang

Elderly residents in Geylang have come together to display some community spirit.

A Stomper, a Geylang resident himself, informed Stomp of the initiative started by various residents from Blocks 111 to 114 Lorong 3 Geylang in December 2020.

They have named it the 'Buttefly Garden'.

"This involved the contribution of pots, plants, tools, recycled marble tile footways, table, chairs, time, creativity and efforts by the retired novices in support of Go Green SG," he said.

"It was a small contribution for us residents to enjoy a mini garden for soft exercise and mind therapy.

"It is a start-up and work-in-progress located behind Block 113 and 114."
