A driver argued with a police officer after he honked at a police car for driving too slowly at Yishun Industrial Park A on April 9.

The incident was recorded in a series of videos taken by the driver, which were uploaded to TikTok by a user named Ben Seah951 on April 30.

The videos were compiled into one and shared by others online before they were removed from TikTok.

In the video, a policeman can be heard telling the driver: "Just now, we were patrolling. We were looking for something. That's why we were driving a bit slow. You horn me, where got use?

"Beside, I can move or not? I cannot move, right?"

The driver replied: "Actually, can move. I never horn you. I signal you only."

The policeman continued: "I know. But beside, there are vehicles beside. So I cannot move. So when I can move, I move for you. I just want to let you know."

He added that he just wanted to explain and was not "scolding" the driver.

The driver said he understood, then added: "But then no point for you to like this, correct or not? Just let me know only."

The policeman asked: "What's the issue?"

The driver replied: "You don't need like this mah? Like want to fight, you know. Damn scared, you know? But you like this, I scared, you know? You officer leh?"

The policeman said: "No lah. If let's say I were to fight with you, that's not the way I would approach you."

After more back and forth, the policeman asked the driver why he was taking a video.

The driver replied: "I want to record that one. So now you explain to me, I no need lah."

He told the policeman to "relax".

The policeman then asked the driver to wait and got on his phone. The driver asked for how long, but the policeman ignored him and walked away.

The driver then asked the policewoman from the police car, who was standing by: "Can I know why?"

She replied it was the way he drove earlier.

The driver explained: "No, I just signal him only. 'Beep beep' only. Not 'paaawww'."

After the policeman got off the phone, he asked the driver to step out of his vehicle, but the driver refused.

When the policeman asked for the driver's identity card, the driver asked to get the policeman's "service number" first.

The policeman said: "I don't need to give you my service number. You have my name, my rank, my NPC (Neighbourhood Police Centre), that's all."

He added that if the driver refused to show his identity card, he would be taken to the police station to get his particulars.

The driver replied: "You just let me see your pass and your service number, I will – confirm – pass it to you."

The policeman repeated that he did not need to show the driver his pass.

At an impasse, the driver said: "You uniform you can makan people, right?"

The policeman replied: "No, I didn't say that."

As they continued arguing, the driver said: "Boy, boy, I feel like you're creating problem with me."

The driver eventually took out his IC, but when the policeman reached for it, the driver accused the policeman: "Without my permission, you take my thing, you know?"

The policeman denied this and requested the driver's IC again. Again, the driver asked to see the policeman's pass.

The policeman explained: "This is is sensitive. I cannot let you record my pass."

Tired of arguing, the driver said: "If you don't want to cooperate with me, I will just go. I don't care."

He then appeared to turn on his engine and drove off.

The video ends with photos of a police report made by the driver about the incident.

In the report, the driver said that the policeman's tone was "not nice".

The driver also added that after the incident, he drove to Yishun North NPC and spoke to the policeman's superior.
