Discarded items catch fire in back alley of Boon Keng warehouse building

A fire broke out at 69 Boon Keng Road in the early hours of Feb 13.

Stomper MG alerted Stomp to the incident and shared videos of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and police vehicles at the scene.

Thick black smoke is seen rising into the air.

In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said it was alerted to the fire at 12.15am.

"The fire involved discarded items along the back alley of the premises," an SCDF spokesperson said.

"SCDF extinguished the fire using a water jet."

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
