Cyclist suffers suspected spinal injuries after accident with car along Old Airport Road

A 35-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital after an accident with a car along Old Airport Road on Wednesday morning (March 13).

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident, which occurred in the direction of Dunman Road, at 7.20am.

The cyclist was conscious when taken to Raffles Hospital.

Stomp understands that he sustained suspected spinal injuries and lacerations on his left hand.

Dashcam footage contributed by Stomper Clement shows how the cyclist was knocked off his bicycle in the collision.

The cyclist is then seen sprawled on the road.

Police investigations are ongoing.
