Female cyclist unconscious after getting knocked down by van along Boon Lay Way

A 52-year-old cyclist was left unconscious after getting hit by a van along Boon Lay Way, towards Upper Jurong Road, on Thursday (Oct 18).

Stomp understands that she suffered head injuries.

A Stomper came across the accident scene near Lakeside MRT Station at around 5.45pm and shared a video with Stomp.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident involving a van and a cyclist at 5.22pm.

The cyclist was unconscious when taken to National University Hospital (NUH).

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it responded to the accident at around 5.30pm and conveyed a woman in her 50s to NUH.

Stomp understands that the hospital was alerted to be on standby to receive the woman.

Police investigations are ongoing.
