Chewly cashew nut cookies recalled for containing peanut as it's not declared on label

Chewly cashew nut cookies are being recalled after Singapore Food Agency (SFA) detected peanut in them even though peanut was not declared on the food packaging labels.

As peanut is an allergen, SFA has directed the importer, Ja Lan Tiong, to recall the implicated products. The recall is ongoing.

Peanut does not pose a food safety issue to consumers at large, except for those who are intolerant of or allergic to peanut.

Consumers who are intolerant of or allergic to peanut should not consume them. Those who are intolerant of or allergic to peanut and have consumed the implicated product should seek medical advice if they have concerns about their health.
