Car turns turtle on AYE

Stomper Scott was travelling along the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) towards Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE), when he saw a car had overturned today (Aug 16) at around 12.53pm.

The incident happened after the Clementi Avenue 2 exit.

The car appeared damaged with its doors open in a video taken by the Stomper.

"I think the driver was trying to avoid the roadworks when he overturned," said Scott.

"Traffic came to a standstill for a few minutes before it started moving again."

In response to Stomp media queries, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said SCDF dispatched one ambulance to the scene.

A man in his 40s refused to be sent to hospital.
