BMW driver 'chiongs' red light -- with front passenger who has child on her lap

A BMW driver was caught on camera flouting multiple traffic rules, including running a red light.

Facebook page SG Road Vigilante uploaded a video of the driver's antics along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 on Nov 2, at around 8.11am.

In the video, the driver can be seen travelling with a front-seat passenger who has a child on her lap and subsequently failing to stop for a red light.

The Facebook post further noted that the driver had not only failed to stop before the stop line, but also did not adhere to the law requiring any passenger below the height of 1.35m to be secured with an appropriate restraint, booster seat or adjustable seatbelt.

"Your kid is being carried by your wife on her lap and you still cheong red light (sic)", added the post.

Many netizens urged the person who recorded the video to lodge a report with the authorities so that enforcement action can be taken.
