Aunty hurt in accident with Mercedes and taxi in Chinatown, tourists on passing bus get a look

A female pedestrian, 62, was taken to hospital after an accident involving a car and a taxi in Chinatown on April 17.

Stomper Marco shared videos of the accident's aftermath at the junction of New Bridge Road and Upper Pickering Street.

In the first video, paramedics from an ambulance parked on the side approaching the injured woman sitting on the ground outside the Parkroyal Collection Pickering hotel.

A silver Mercedes-Benz and a blue ComfortDelGro taxi had stopped at the pedestrian crossing at the junction.

In the second video, the woman is on a gurney being wheeled to the ambulance by the paramedic. The Traffic Police can be seen arriving at the scene.

A bus filled with tourists stopped for the traffic light at the junction and they had a good look at the Mercedes and the taxi.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 11.25am.

The woman was conscious when taken to Singapore General Hospital by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.

Police investigations are ongoing.
