51-year-old driver taken to hospital after car crashes into fencing in Punggol

A 51-year-old man was taken to hospital after crashing his car into fencing along Tebing Lane in Punggol on Sunday night (Aug 19).

Responding to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the car accident at 9.06pm.

The driver was conscious when taken to Sengkang General Hospital.

Stomper Nicholas, a resident in the vicinity, shared photos that show the car on a pavement after the accident. Traffic police officers can also be spotted at the scene.

A video taken by Nicholas shows the car subsequently being towed away by a tow truck.

The Stomper recounted: "Police reached the scene within 10 minutes and the car was towed away within two hours."

Police investigations are ongoing.
