3 accidents involving motorcyclists: 1 dies in crash with truck on CTE, 2 taken to hospital

A motorcyclist was killed in an accident with a truck on the Central Expressway (CTE) on Sunday morning (Aug 20).

A Stomper shared a video showing a number of police vehicles stopped in the centre lane of the expressway and a blue police tent nearby. A tipper truck had also stopped after the tent.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 6.25am to the accident on CTE towards Seletar Expressway after Braddell Road.

The 27-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and the 57-year-old male truck driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.

There was another accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on the expressway earlier on a rainy Friday morning.

A video of the collision at the entrance of the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) tunnel was posted by SG Road Vigilante.

The police told Stomp they were alerted on Aug 18 at about 8.50am to the accident involving a motorcycle and a car along KPE towards ECP after Tampines Road.

The 29-year-old male motorcyclist was conscious when taken to the hospital and the 27-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.

The third accident happened late Sunday morning just before midnight at Braddell Road.

"I assisted the motorcyclist to call the ambulance and police," said the Stomper.

The police were alerted at 12.10am on Sunday to the accident involving a motorcycle and a car on Braddell Road towards Lornie Road.

The 38-year-old male motorcyclist was conscious when taken to the hospital. Police investigations are ongoing.
