A 43-year-old man was arrested on Friday (April 7) for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft, said police.
Police were alerted on April 6 at about 1.32pm to a case of housebreaking at a shop located along Jurong East Street 24. Cash amounting to about $40,000 and cigarettes worth about $6,000 were purportedly stolen from the location.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from police cameras and CCTVs, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on April 7.
The man was to be charged in court on April 8 with housebreaking and theft, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.
