Aww! Student finds friend in earless and deaf senior cat

When student Molly Lichtenwalner who suffers from anxiety disorder met a earless and deaf senior cat, she immediately understood they were meant for each other. 

Molly told Love Meow: 

"I was having severe anxiety as a result of a car accident.

"I decided it was time for me to adopt an animal to help with my anxiety, because nothing helped me more than snuggling some furry friends."

Molly went on PetFinder and noticed a 9 and a half year-old cat, who looked a bit different.

The cat, named Otitis, had lost its ears due to massive cysts that its previous owners could not afford to treat, and eventually surrendered it. 

"When Otitis popped up, I knew he was the one," said Molly.

Otitis' ears needed to be removed, and as a result, it is deaf.

"I was the first person to ever submit an application for him," Molly added. 

A day after adoption, Otitis came out of its shell and could not stop snuggling with his forever human.

Otitis gives Molly kisses and snuggles every day, and guards her when she sleeps. 

The rather different yet beautiful senior cat had changed Molly's life forever. 

"Otitis is my Emotional Support Animal and always snuggles me at night and when I am very stressed or having a panic attack," said Molly.
