New video shows what happened moments before man was dragged off United Airlines flight

A video of a 69-year-old Vietnamese-American grandfather who was forcibly yanked from his seat and dragged off a United Airlines flight at O'Hare International Airport has been a talking point among people all over the world.

Now, a new video has emerged showing what happened just moments before he was dragged off the plane.

The footage was taken by another passenger named Joya Cummings and shows two officers standing over Dr David Dao's seat.

"I won’t go. I’m [a] physician. I have to work tomorrow. 8am," Dao said, while on his handphone and speaking with the officers.

Shortly after that he said that he wants to "make a lawsuit against United Airlines".

When the officer said that they were going to have to drag him he said:

"Well, you can then drag me. I don’t go. I’m not going. I’m staying right there."

He then told them that he would rather go to jail than get off the plane.

The video ends with him repeatedly telling the officers, "I have to go home".

Earlier he said that he had been travelling for almost 24 hours which could explain his fatigue and reluctance to leave the plane.
